Briggs & Stratton is unveiling the latest addition to its range of high quality engines.
The new innovative 800 Series engine family consists of three powerful engines: the 850 SERIES™, 850 SERIES™ I/C® and 875 SERIES™, offering consumers a powerful option for walk behind lawn mowers.
Various noise reduction features are incorporated on the 800 Series engines. These include enhanced outlet mufflers, newly designed intake systems with improved baffling and a composite resin blower housing that reduces noise, lowers engine temperature, lessens bore distortion and cuts engine weight for overall economy and ease of use.
Equipped with ReadyStart® as standard, it allows the lawnmower engine, not the user, to determine when choking is required. It automatically senses engine temperature to deliver the right amount of fuel to the carburettor and does not require priming, or choking, just pulling for power. In addition the engine comes with Briggs & Stratton’s starting guarantee1.
The new 800 Series engines stand for easy starting, smoother and quieter operation, long life and durability. The OHV technology offers premium power and superior performance and ensures excellent end results on the lawn.
The new engines offer a range of features including: a large fuel tank for enhanced running time, commercial quality oval air cleaner2, a high mount oil fill with straight dipstick tube, a pressurised oil filter which offers added protection from engine wear, and a cast iron sleeve3 for extra durability.
The advanced air management system features a dual sealing, commercial quality dual element air cleaner, which extends both the element and engine life, reducing maintenance intervals, lowering oil consumption and emissions4.
1 Within the ReadyStart package comes the starting guarantee (S2), which is standard on all ReadyStart engines. It guarantees that the owner’s lawnmower will always start on the first or second pull of the rope starter or Briggs & Stratton will fix it for free.
